August 1999 Boomer Of The Month Congratulations to Marge Spalla I was born on April 24th, 1944 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, a city of about 50,000. I attended and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1962. I then attended a technical school for IBM training in programing and keypunching. I worked at Gateway Transportation Co for 10 years before marrying my husband Tony in 1974. We moved to De Soto Wisconsin after our marriage, where we continue to reside. We have two children, Rebecca who is 23 and a student at Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Tony Jr. who lives with us and is taking a computer repair course. I worked at the De Soto Post Office for 5 1/2 years, and most recently managed a Greenhouse in La Crosse for the summer. My husband and I enjoy fishing, gardening, and flowers, but not always in that order. We recently (April) celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary with a very elegant celebration complete with limo! We have enjoyed watching our children grow up into the beautiful individuals they have become, and look forward to future grandchildren. I appreciate being chosen boomer of the month, but am actually not a boomer, but a "war baby". I’m just one year ahead of you all, but glad you will accept me. Again, thank you for being chosen in your club.
