BOOMER OF THE MONTH: Jay Anderson
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
When I see or help someone achieve what
they believed they couldn't.
What is your greatest fear?
Fear is a mistake therefore I do not fear.
What is your greatest extravagance?
That has yet to be determined.
What is your favorite journey?
When I was in my early 20's, I trekked across
America in search of myself, but what I found
was rather disturbing, and not within myself,
but within America. It was very saddening to
see that America really is very impoverished
and not the vast luxurious country in which
it is displayed.
On what occasion do you lie?
I don't think there is an appropriate
time to lie.
What is your greatest regret?
Not getting involved with politics
earlier in my life.
What or who is the greatest love of
your life?
My Grandmother on my mother's side,
Violet Nelson; she was a great influence
on my becoming who I am today.
What is your most treasured possession?
The opportunity that is given to all of
us here in America.
What is the quality you like most in a man?
The ability to get beyond the false pride
which comes with masculinity and show the
tenderness that we all have.
What is the quality you like most in a
woman?
A loaded question indeed. Other than
the obvious, I would have to say one who
enjoys who she is and has no need to prove
otherwise. A woman who knows what she wants
and is willing to work for it, because it
is what she wants and not what someone
expects of her.
What do you most value in your friends?
A friend who accepts me for who I am and
never tries to influence me with his or her
beliefs, but supports me for mine.
What is your favorite hero of fiction?
Scooby-Doo, of course.
What is your motto?
Let us not judge others by the mistakes
they have made, but by what they have done
since their last mistake.
