Samira Kauthar aka "Gypsy"
Rest In Peace "Gypsy" On our Yahoo Group 20+ years ago, we have come to know her as "Gypsy" . She was fun loving and a fun friend of the members in the group. We lost contact since I moved down to Southern California and Yahoo groups became virtually abandoned by users. I connected with her via Facebook but we were not as close as when we were on Yahoo Group. I talked and chatted with her for a while but we both got busy with life. I think of her often and now I regret that I did not connect with her more often.
She was born Rita J. Michael, March 29, 1948, and graduated from Brentwood High School, Brentwood, Mo. She legally changed her name to Samira Kauthar, loved to travel, and resided in Seattle, Wa.

Gary P. Larkin
1946 - 2016: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
He was awarded No. 1 Disc Jockey of the Year for the Pittsburgh Area in 1977, '78 and '79 by Billboard Magazine. He also received a gold record each from Columbia Records, Atlantic Records and RSO Records for his assistance in helping to achieve more than $1 million in record sales. Gary shared his love of music through several radio stations (WMBA, WNUF, WARO, WZUM and WCCS), holding dances, his internet radio show and House of Wax, or just adding that special touch to events. Gary will be missed very much, for he had such a huge heart and loved to make people laugh. Anyone who truly knew Gary knows that he has everyone in heaven on their feet, dancing and smiling. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/triblive-pittsburgh-tribune-review/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=181004418#sthash.pWQuwjN4.dpuf

This is a sad day since I also found out yesterday about our Boomers International friend that passed away in 2011. Edward Quicksall was our good friend although he was not in our Boomersint Yahoo group. He was a good poet who contributed many of his poems on our site. Ed and I communicated through AOL email from 1999 through 2001. Somehow we did not write to each other as often after I moved from Northern Cal to Southern Cal in 2001.
Rest In Peace Ed!
