We went to visit Taber and Jessica in a small town in
New Jersey in the summer of 1997. Taber got drafted by
the St. Louis Cardinals and was sent to the play with
the New Jersey Cardinals, a Short Summer Season Minor 
League.

Taber took off to Augusta, New Jersey right after 
Jessica's graduation.  Jessica and Ted Jr. followed
a few weeks later when they drove out there across 
the U.S. with Taber's dog, Thaily.

We were so excited that one of our son is playing 
professional baseball.  The trip out to New Jersey
was a reward for Ted after all these years of 
support and encouragement for both of his sons.

We arrived at Newark which is the big city across 
from New York.  It only took about fifteen minutes out
of Newark when we started to see lots of green trees on
the hills and mountains.  

The lushness of the summer with occasional mist of rain. 
This is why the scenery is green!

We finally arrived at August, New Jersey. It was a small 
town which spread out and all the nice motels and hotels 
were really far away.  We got a chance to call for a hotel 
room in Newton after we finally arrived at the baseball
players' house by the lake.   It was a nice house with 5 
bedrooms and three baths so there were about 9 
players that stayed there.

We finally got to Newton after about 45 minutes' drive.
The hotel where we finally got a room for is very small.
The room is a small room right on the loft.

We spent the night there and moved to another hotel
near Augusta and the baseball players' rental
house on the lake..

We visited Fishkill, Wappingers Falls,  New York,  
Metamophorus?  while in New Jersey.
