Pacific Coast Highway 1 runs along the
ocean and through California Central
Coast towns and cities, from Northern
California. All the way to Southern
California and Mexican Border, many
of these areas are the most beautiful
coastal areas which are blessed with
natural habitats, redwood estates
and national parks.

Most of Central Coast California are
encompassed by Monterey, San Luis Obispo
and Santa Barbara counties. From south
of Monterey and Carmel, Big Sur is a
spectacular resort and natural park area.

wineries are getting the recognition
and comparison to the Napa Valley
Wine Region. Other activities
such as equastrian training,
horse stables, ranches, and
agricultural research are what

All the more these industries have a
strong ties to California Polytechnics
University at San Luis Obispo.
Paso Robles has become a major wine producing area
with dozens of wineries and a number of wine festivals
during the year. With March comes the Zinfandel weekend,
May heralds the Wine Festival, and October brings
the Harvest Wine Affair. For festival information,
visit the
Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association
Located about half way between Los Angeles and
San Francisco on Highway 101, Paso Robles is also
just about 30 minutes from the Pacific Coast and
the world famous Heast Castle. Here you can enjoy
fine dining, fine wine, beautiful countryside and

places to visit. On the drive South of
Cambrian, you will see the famous rock

Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, Grover Beach,

with students from California Poly Technic
during academic year. In the summer time
they are part of the destination for tourist
