  Overlooking the marina and offering spectacular view, Carter House has an

  Carter House Country Inn.  Excellent seafood, nearly all of it harvested

  The brewery and cafe opened in 1990 by Wendy Pound and Barbara Groom, 
  founders of the Lost Coast Brewery.  It is situated in the seaport 
  town of Eureka.  Visitors can see brewers stirring the mash with a 
  canoe paddle and shoving out the spent grains by hand. 
  Diners at the brewery's cafe can also see a bottle washing, 
  filling and labeling process.

  The brewery offers up to eight handcrafted beers, (New World, 
  Appicot Wheat, Raspberry Brown, Winter Brown etc.) and including the 
  traditional English Pale Ale, richly colored and medium-bodied Amber
  Ale, a nutty Brown Ale with hints of roasted and crystal malts and Stout, 
  the brewmaster's personal favorite with its creamy and satisfying taste.

  The restaurant at the Albion River Inn features a cliff-top location 
  overlooking Albion Cove which offers magnificent ocean views throughout 
  the dining room. An elegant yet casual atmosphere with the decor 
  featuring fine art photography on the walls, exposed beams and a 
  fireplace.  
  The gourmet menu features the cuisine of chef Steven Smith, a 
  graduate of the California Culinary Academy. Chef Smith uses local 
  organic produce whenever possible to obtain.  Ingredients such as
  wild mushrooms and berries in season, fresh fruit and herbs, fresh 
  seafood from local waters and combines with fine regional wines 
  enable Albion River Inn a feature in an article in Bon Appetite 
  magazine, and earned praises by several restaurant reviewers. 
  The wine list at Albion River has been the recipient of The Wine  
  Spectator's Award of Excellence.

  Situated off Highway 1 overlooking the Pacific Ocean make this 
  restaurant a favourite dinner destination.  Since 1949, the Heritage
  House has hosted guests and diners at this specatcular facility on 
  the Mendocino coast. Diners can view either the coastline or the 
  magnificent murals on the domed ceiling in the main dining room. 
  The emphasis is on fresh country cuisine, locally-grown herbs and 
  produce and homemade breads and desserts.
  The Heritage House also sports a superb wine collection and has 
  been ranked in the top 200 in the country for its wine list.
  Lunch usually includes some variation of tiger prawns, innovative 
  pasta or Chinese chicken salad. The Heritage chef works wonders with 
  local seafood, duck, lamb and steaks to satisfy every taste.

  the telephone company of Ferndale, which was built in 1910. 
  The restaurant features a Victorian decor and a casual atmosphere.
  John Humphrey, chef and owner of the restaurant, offers a menu 
  of American regional and classical French cuisine. Selections include 
  seafood, pasta, chicken, duck, beef and veal entrees.

  North Coast Brewing Co., established in 1989, has won six medals
  for its fine beers during the past eight years.
  This much-decorated brewery most recently won a silver medal for 
  its Old No. 38 Stout in the dry stout category at the Great American 
  Beer Festival in 1993.
  The brewery currently produces 15,000 barrels of beer a year .
  The brewery's Scrimshaw beer is a pilsner with a subtle hop flavor
  and a crisp palate. The Red Seal Ale is a wonderful marriage of hops 
  and malt with a long, aromatic finish. 
  Old No. 38 is a dry stout, smooth and firm-bodied with the toasted 
  character and coffee notes of dark malts and roasted barley.

  A stroll along historic Fisherman's Wharf isn't complete without a 
  visit to Abalonetti Seafood Trattoria. This recently-remodeled 
  contemporary restaurant offers a combination of southern French and
  southern Italian cuisine.
  The fun, casual atmosphere of Abalonetti's is evident in its whimsical
  nautical decor, which features a giant squid. In addition to the main
  dining room, which offers a view of the kitchen and wood-burning pizza
  oven, the restaurant also offers outdoor dining on its patio.
  The menu at Abalonetti's features more than a dozen calamari dishes, 
  as well as other fresh seafood and pasta dishes. The restaurant's 
  location on the wharf allows for the delivery of seafood fresh from the

  Fandango's interior offers the warmth of a Basque country home with
