Thailand Mar-April 2016.
I do not have as many photos from Thailand. The purpose of my visit was to spend time w/ my mother, & take her to Chiengmai for the Annual Memorial Service in memory of a loved ones, ancestors and family members who passed. The 2nd day after I arrived in BKK, we flew on Thai Smiles Air to Chiengmai. We stayed with my aunt (my mother's sister) and uncle's hugh home in the city. The following day we attended the Memorial Ceremony, there were 12 monks and there were 156 names on the list this year. We had a family buffet lunch at the temple right after the ceremony.
Later in the afternoon, we had another smaller gathering at an uncle's home (my mother's cousin) The younger ones paid respect to my mom and one of her cousins. They both will not be in Chiengmai for SongKran for this traditional ceremony for the elders.
I visited with a childhood friend & many other families. I did not take many pictures. If I took pictures of relatives and their homes, I respect their privacy and did not post them. I visited my ancestor's temple with my aunt which I took many pictures of his statue. I am tracing our family trees dating back to 350+ years ago?
From April 1 to April 4, I was at my mother's home in Nonthaburi.
There were other pictures of my Chiengmai families in my other Facebook albums & from my previous visits.
