I've noticed one thing about boomers though....they tend to be among the most self absorbed people on the planet, and I don't count myself out of the equation. People who aren't as affluent bash people who are, and vice versa. As the boomers age, they've gotten all philosophical, but there's still a certain self righteous element in that. Frankly, I don't think Donald Trump's life has any less value than Mother Teresa's. One may be perceived as more arrogant and less caring then the other, but they both touched many lives in different ways.

To me, humility can be the ultimate form of conceit because so many people cop the "well, I don't have money, but I'm a better person than you" attitude. Really, when you get right down to it, no one is without flaws.

I think life has become more complex simply because their are too many choices.... if you want just a regular box of Oreos now, you're faced with the choice of peanut butter filled, white chocolate covered, regular chocolate covered, it's a never ending assault on the brain, and most brains just can't take it all in.

Having said all that, in a philosophical type manner, I know I'm just as arrogant as the rest.
