I have to say that when one is facing life treatening situation and or health catatrophe that is life treatening.
For me personally, I was depressed for a while after 9/11. My life was standing still and I didnt want to do much for a while. I gained weight and I also lost a lot of sleep for staying up late watching tv and on the computer LOL.
Anyway, I woke up and decided that life is what I am making it. I was also in a dire financial situation (that is the worst) to be in.
I get up and go more .. walk a lot, eat well balanced diet and although not exercising but I am very active around the house and my yard LOL.

: I am doing some research on baby boomers and wanted to know about baby boomers who come to the realization that they must make changes in their eating habits and start exercising. I'm trying to define the scared straight baby boomer...what was it that made them come to that realization. If you could descibe that person (eating habits, sedentary lifestyle, stress, etc.) that would be really helpful.
