Baby boomer affect American Society big time.
Althought the baby boomers did not create the world they live in but rather, they inherited it from the last generation...World War I, World War II..Korea..Viet Nam wars, racism, poverty,
the cold war.. The nuclear arms treaties, the fair trade agreements so people can live a better life equally around the world. We fought for civil rights in the past 40 years than any time in history. From their booming birthrate.
Some of them were hippies and became mid career professionals in the late 70's.
Then they became the yuppies - young upwardly mobile professionals - who supposedly represented the new American families. What about the married couples with children and two jobs.
The Vietnam War, The war protest, The Hippies, Peace & Love, The liberation of Women, the Sexual revolution.. you name it. Baby boomers helped put a man on the moon and start up NASA space program. They helps development of the high tech industries.

Baby boomers took care of their children and gave them more than their parents did. They are now starting to take care of their parents.
Nowaday, they also took care of their grand-children.

Dont forget all the revolution in arts, architect, music and movie industries.

Will add more as I can think of..
LOL
